As part of the United Nations’ Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSME) Day and in recognition of the critical role that these enterprises play in post-pandemic recovery, Emirates is empowering MSMEs to pursue growth opportunities through an attractive incentive for new enrolees to the Emirates Business Rewards programme.

Micro, small and mid-sized enterprises are supported by EmiratesStarting on 25 June until 10 July 2022, eligible businesses around the world can sign up for an Emirates Business Reward Points account and receive 10,000 points – the equivalent of an Economy Class return ticket between most destinations in the Middle East, Africa/WAIO and Dubai, a city with world-class support resources and infrastructure to help entrepreneurs and SMEs succeed.

The Emirates’ offer is designed to support MSMEs and recognize the significant role they play in sustainable development, the global economy, and communities. The Emirates Business Rewards programme has been enrolled by more than 30000 micro, small and medium sized businesses, taking advantage of a wealth of benefits, including easy enrolment, accessible earning and redemption, and flexibility and upgrade opportunities, even at the last minute.

Through Emirates Business Rewards, organizations can earn points on business travel, which can be redeemed for future flights and upgrades on any Emirates flight, in any class. Whenever their employees or guests fly on Emirates, organizations can accumulate points, which can then be redeemed for dynamic reward tickets and upgrades. Skywards Miles can also be earned on the same flight if you are an Emirates Skywards member. The number of employees who can join the program is unlimited and there is no minimum spend requirement. MSMEs with a low budget can benefit from Emirates Business Rewards, which is free to join.

MSMEs are the backbone of our economies, accounting for over 90% of all global firms. They also account for 70% of employment and 50% of GDP. They are central to a green recovery. Through its Business Rewards programme, as well as through procurement of products and services across the business, Emirates has a long track record of supporting small and medium sized businesses.

Emirates has helped a range of small and medium sized businesses showcase their products to a global travel audience, boosting their growth plans. Among these products are sustainable in-flight amenity kits, boutique spa products, single origin teas, and artisan foods. Emirates prioritizes SMEs as part of its tendering process and works actively with government stakeholders like Dubai SME in identifying businesses and evaluating their performance regularly.
